You have the right to copy

I've been working, lately, on registering my album for a copyright. It's been fairly simple to do and quick. I may put together a full post at some point to describe the process. For now, let's suffice it to state a few facts. First, there are plenty of YouTube videos that will walk you through the online registration process. Second, there was a $55 fee. Third, I was required to submit a copy of the vinyl via post. Fourth, the album I submitted - which was mailed just last Friday - will be retained by the Copyright Office for an unspecified amount of time, during which it is available to the Library of Congress, should they desire it for their collection. Fifth, I have not discovered how to entice the LoC to hold a copy in perpetuity ... yet. Sixth, and finally, for a fee of some $520, the Copyright Office will store a copy of my album for 75 years from the date of publish, or until December 26, 2093. One reason I made a vinyl is to preserve my music beyond my lifetime. Perhaps, the long term storage fee is worth the money?
