Aces In the Sky

I've been busy in the studio for the past year and a half. One area of exploration has been choirs. Here is a voice-only mix of a song I've been mulling over. It contains two choirs. The first performs background chords and melody, and the second performs a contrapuntal intro followed by unison melody.

I heard an author's interview on the radio just as I was starting this piece - that was back around September. The author remarked that art must be born out of struggle. This song sounds nothing like it did when I first wrote it. So, there's been a struggle. And, recently, on a throw-away Amazon rom com, my ears perked up when I heard a character say that you are not an artist until you begin to share your work. So, this is me announcing my artistic intent for Aces In The Sky.
